The default location of the Map tool is the United States.
If you live outside of the United States, you perhaps want to change the location where you live. But if you live in APAC region, it is just west of the US, so you would drag it to the left.
But it is trap! You can’t go west of the US as follows.
So, you need to drag it to east. Then you can arrive Europe or APAC.
However, it is waste of the time to do it every time, let’s change the default location! To do it, click on the “Edit User Settings” of “User Settings” in the Option menu.
Next, select the “Dataset Defaults” and select any map for example “Light – Most Recent Vintage” and click the Set Location button in the right side of “Default Location For Map Input/Question”.
After that, you can find the “Select Map Bounds” window as follow.
Please show the location which you like. When you click on the OK button, the default location will be changed by shown location. Of course, don’t forget to click on the OK button in the “User Settings” dialogue.
After that, you can see the changed map as follows. If the default location was not changed, please put the new Map Input tool onto the canvas.
