Have you ever wanted to title the tables and maps? The Report Text tool makes you to do it easily.
Add title by the Report Text tool
In Alteryx, things created with the Table tool or Report Map tool are called “Report Snippets”. You can add titles to these report snippets.
Table tool
For example, suppose you create a table below with the Table tool.
And then, the Report Text tool is connected from the Table tool.
The Report Text should be set as follows.
The important points are to select the “Attach text to existing field” option, the field that is contain the table as the “Field Name” option and the “Place text above existing object” as the “Position” option. The title that you want is to set what you want freely to the Text Data. This results as follows.
Report Map tool
Next example, let’s see the Report Map tool. This is the default result.
Suppose to set as follows.
The result is as follows.
Interactive Chart tool
The Interactive Chart tool can be add the title to the chart by itself, so you don’t need to use Report Text tool. However, if you want a unified look, it is better to use the Report Text tool.
To add the title by itself, to use the “Title” section on the Chart panel.

You can also use the Report Text tool. The result is as follows.
It is not a bit smart because the upper padding is too large. In this case, you can adjust “Top Pixel” option on the Chart section. I think 10 pixcel seems OK.

It seems comfortable.
